Well another semester is on deck and finding a way to manage and maneuver classes, jobs, social networks, and finical aid can be enough to make any undergrad want to pull a Kanye and dropout. The stress of college can be unbearable at times and leaves one wondering the proverbial question of: What do I do? Before you turn in your withdrawal slip to the registrar’s office and say you got something better than school there are many answers to that question and all it needs is taking a step back to truly evaluate your situation.
One of the biggest stressors for most students is MONEY! Most of us didn’t come equipped with good money management skills, so its no surprise that your money gauge stays on E. A way of solving this is buying what you NEED first and then spend sparingly on the extravagances (ie.. clothes, shoes, and for some of yall like me HAIR! believe it or not good hair can cost a pretty penny) as hard it may seam, its surprising how much you can save by learning how to say I don’t NEED this (put that fly ass shirt down and back away from the mall slowly). I know you may want to throw it in the bag when your refund check comes but try saving some of it or if you really bout your bread, invest it. So before you start singing la la la la wait til I get my refund check, prioritize your money first to avoid being on the fall ’10 line of Broke phi Broke.
