Bishop Eddie Long, for the first time since three men sued him alleging sexual coercion, issued his first public statement Thursday regarding the allegations.
"I have been through storms and my faith has always sustained me," Long said in a statement issued by his spokesman.
In separate lawsuits filed in DeKalb County this week, the three men allege that Long coerced them into sexual relations. They said they were taken on trips, given cars and put on the payroll. They are seeking a trial by jury and unspecified damages.

This is coming a day off a big division win against the rival Patriots. Braylon Edwards has already been in trouble with the league before this issue so there's no telling what this latest interaction with the law could lead too. Expect the Jets to maybe suspend Edwards for a game or so just to protect him from the penalties that Dictator Goodell could hand down. The Jets next game is Sunday Night against another divisional opponent the Dolphins
The Nets Are Offering Their 1st round pick Derrick Favors, Kris Humphries, Troy Murphy & a future first rounder for Carmelo Anthony. All of this is in the mist for Carmelo telling the team he will not sign a contract next year and turning down a 3 year $65 Million contract extension. Chad Ford of ESPN reports that The Nets are the frontrunners to acquire Carmelo. Other teams interested in him are the Knicks, Bulls, & Rockets

After all the speculation and accusations whether if Reggie was inactive the 2005 season at USC. Reggie Bush decides to give back the trophy. This is the first time in the history of the Heisman trust that a player had given back his trophy. Now the debate is whether to leave the award that year blank, making it null and void or whether to give it to the runner-up that year Vince Young. Vince has made it apparent of the past few years that he felt he should have won that award that year.

And it looks stupid. But here’s the thing: the members of the Culture of Cool (whether professed or categorized) who pride themselves on being such individuals really don’t understand that they’re all following a fad. They are all little pawns in this game of commercialized tag. Dummies.
